The Broadcast

Lola and Sherrie Sherrie McCutcheon is the newest member of the WKKX team. She is no stranger to the Ohio Valley, and her resume includes 16 years as WTOV 9 News Anchor, host of Jamboree USA and Jamboree in the Hills. Sherrie still does local television commercials and operates her own Bead Retreat business from her home.

Born and raised in Martins Ferry, Sherrie is a graduate of St. John Central and Kent State University.

Sherrie came to WKKX to take advantage of the "all talk, all local" format. "The Ohio Valley Broadcast is a show that is geared to women of all ages. Most topics will be those of interest to women, but will not exclude men," Sherrie says. She encourages calls from any interested listener.

Sherrie continued, "I know what it is like trying to balance a career and family. I am an Ohio Valley woman and have the same concerns and interests as others in my community. I hope this show brings issues to light from the female perspective, while being fun and entertaining as well. So many times, women just settle for what their lives have turned out to be. I'm here to let women know they can still be everything and do everything they ever wanted. Maybe not at the same time, but women should never give up either."

Ohio Valley Broadcast airs weekdays from 10am until Noon. Sherrie says this is the perfect time slot for someone who wants to work, yet still maintain a home. "I have the best of both worlds now; the perfect balance of career and home."
